Roger Allen Temple September 3, 1959 – August 2, 2019 Roger Allen Temple, 59, of Wilson passed away Friday, August 2. The family will receive friends Monday, August 5 afternoon from 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. at Raleigh Road Baptist Church, 4150 Raleigh Road Parkway W, Wilson with his funeral services following at 7:00 p.m.  The Rev. Darien Gabriel, Rev. Dr. Tyler Campbell and good friend, Mike Eatmon will officiate. Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6 in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Roger is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of thirty-nine years, Cindy Suggs Temple; daughter, Megan “Munchkin” Temple; beloved pet and fishing buddy, Bolt; and  Charlie (grandpup) of the home; sister, Karen Smith (Todd) of Oakboro; mother-in-law, Dot Suggs; brother-in-law, Ricky Suggs (Donna); nephew, Scott Suggs (Ashley) all of Wilson; nieces, Katelyn Suggs of Charlotte and Ashley-Nicole Russell of Greenville and great-niece and nephew, Raelynn and Owen Suggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Thelma Temple; brother, Doug Temple and father-in-law, Earl Suggs. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of Roger’s love of bass fishing the family ask that donations be made to The Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center in Roanoke, Virginia.  This foundation is largely supported by John Crews, Jr., professional B.A.S.S. Elite Series bass fisherman and personal friend. Donations may be made payable to BRAAC, 312 Whitwell Drive, Roanoke, Virginia 24019.
