Roland Jennings Hinnant

Roland Jennings Hinnnat September 25, 1928 – October 21, 2019 Roland Jennings Hinnant, 91 of Kenly passed away Monday. His funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Buckhorn United Methodist Church, 8102 Hwy 42 N, Kenly. Interment will follow in Buckhorn United Methodist Church Cemetery, Kenly. The Rev. Carol Dean will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of his son, David. Jennings is survived by his sons, R. Joseph Hinnant and wife, Linda of Toano, Virginia, David Jennings Hinnant and wife, Vickie of Kenly, Kenneth Alan Hinnant and wife, Carol of Kenly and Steven Gregory Hinnant of Youngsville; granddaughter, Emma Marie Hinnant; grandsons, Clayton David Hinnant, Jennings Rupert Hinnant, Christopher Scott Hinnant, Thomas Gregory Hinnant and Spencer Bradley Hinnant; seven great-grandchildren and his sisters, Rebecca Scott of Wilson and Alice Schooly of Clearwater, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Kirkendall Hinnant; son, Robert Thomas Hinnant; granddaughter, Susan Marie Hinnant and his parents, Roland and Beulah Boyette Hinnant. The family would like to thank the staff of WilMed Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for all their help and support over the past year.
