Ronald Thomas Stone

Ronald Thomas Stone, 86, of Middlesex passed away Tuesday. His funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in FW Stone Memorial Cemetery, 9007 Stone Heritage Road, Bailey. The Rev. Buddy Wagnon will officiate.
The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Ronald served his country with honor and pride as a Platoon Sgt in the Korean War. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Ronald is survived by his daughters, Rhonda S. Matthews and husband, Reuben of Middlesex and Lisa Stone of Middlesex; granddaughter, Brittney Haskins and husband, Dustin; grandsons, Scott Matthews and wife, Kelly and Brad Palk; one great-grandchild; step- daughters, Jeanette Thompson of Zebulon, Dawn Lawrence of Bettie and Gina Moody of Middlesex; seven step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce Matthews and husband, Robert of Middlesex and Ruth Brewer and husband, Charles of Middlesex; his brothers, Jerry Stone of Middlesex and Kurt Stone and wife, Joyce of Rocky Mount and his furry companions, BooBoo and Littleman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Boykin Stone and second wife, Barbara Morgan Stone; son, Gregory Thomas Stone and his parents, Chester R. Stone and Christine Strickland Stone.
