Ronnie Glenn Hill

Ronnie Glenn Hill, of Bailey passed away Saturday.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Ronnie worked most of his life as a sewing machine mechanic at J & J Apparel and with Barcalounger, later in life he worked in the service center with Collins Aerospace where he enjoyed working with his co-workers.  Ronnie loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed fishing, which he found to be relaxing.  He loved all animals from horses, dogs, cats, goats, birds, and chickens.  He raised and sold many birds.  Ronnie enjoyed working in the yard teaching the younger generation how to work on things so they wouldn’t have to depend on someone else.  Ronnie had a big heart, and he would help people anyway he could, and he was a very loving and caring husband, stepdad, and grandpa to Gunner.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of fourteen years, Beverly Worrell Hill; stepson, Matthew Sherrick of Bailey; stepdaughter, Michelle Bradley and husband, James Matt of Bailey; grandson, Gunner Bradley; sister-law, Rebecca Hill of Kenly and nephew, Jeremy Hill of Raleigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jarvis and Josephine Hill; brothers, Jerry Hill and James Hill.
