Roy Stanley Pearson

Roy “Stanley” Pearson, 72, of Wilson passed away Sunday.  His memorial service will be conducted 7 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  The Rev. Elwood Long will officiate.   Stanley was a loving husband, father and papa.  He was a dedicated member of Shiloh Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Stanley will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.   Stanley is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Becky P. Pearson of the home; his daughter, Tracy Carol Sellers and husband, Thad; his son, Roy Glenn Pearson and wife Lynda of Middlesex; his grandsons, Christopher Sellers, Blake Sellers and Brayson Pearson; his granddaughters, Lindsey P. Proctor and Bailie Pearson; his great-granddaughters, Zoey Proctor and Cayla Sellers; his sister, Jean Davis-Long and husband, Rev. Elwood of Wilson; his brother, Gerald Pearson and wife, Sandra of Elm City and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Colby Pearson; his parents, Jake Pearson and Bettie Irene Page Pearson; his sister, Grace P. Davis and his brothers, Kenneth H.
