Rudell Watson Massey
June 8, 1935 – June 4, 2020
Rudell Watson Massey, 84 of Spring Hope passed away Thursday. His funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 3967 W Hornes Church Road, Bailey. The Rev. Dr. Hal Jones will officiate. The family will have a private burial.
Rudell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. He served and loved the Lord with all his heart and Rudell is with his heavenly father in heaven at this time. He was a great person and will be missed by many.
Rudell is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Dottie Murray Massey of the home; daughter, Lamara Massey Hall of Spring Hope; son, Curtis Massey of Elm City; granddaughters, Jamie Driver and husband, Robbie of Lucama and Morgan Massey and fiancé, Jarrett of Elm City; great-grandsons, Bryson and Ayden Driver of Lucama; sister, Winnie Cobb of Bailey; special sister-in-law, Anne Pitts; special brother-in-law, Dewey Pitts and his wonderful friend, Kay Dew.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Massey; daughter-in-law, Tonya Gail Massey; parents, Watson and Odell Massey and sister, Lois Edwards.
