Ruth "Jackie" Ruffin Hagwood

Ruth Ruffin Hagwood November 8, 1927 – June 3, 2016 Ruth “Jackie” Ruffin Hagwood, 88, of Bailey passed away Friday evening. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The Elder Jack Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 – 1:45 prior to the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Jackie is survived by her daughter, Carol Ruwe and husband, Harris of Bailey; her son, Joe Hagwood and wife, Stephanie of Bailey; granddaughter, Lisa Macias and husband, Tommy of Bailey; grandson, Paul Hagwood of Bailey; her great-granddaughter, Emilia Macias of Bailey; daughter-in-law, Beth Hagwood, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Hagwood; her son, Charles “Chuck” Hagwood, Jr.; parents, Paul and Lillie Stott Ruffin, and sisters, Alma Ruffin Wellons and Mildred Ruffin. The family would like to thank Tara Sanders and Judy McCadden for their love, care and kindness to Jackie. They were truly a blessing to her and her family.
