Ruth Lenore Rouse

Ruth Lenore Rouse, 68, of Lucama died Sunday. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Silas Lucas Family Cemetery, Lucama. The Rev. Kelley Smart and the Rev. Dr. DeWayne Eakes will officiate. 

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. 

Ruth went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Faustina and Allen Welker Rouse, her grandparents, Jack and Georgie Barnes, and Blanche and John Leslie Rouse; a sister, Nancy Rouse, and a niece, Jennifer M. Rouse. 

Ruth graduated from Lucama High School and was retired from Watson Electrical Construction Company. She was a beloved sister and a devoted aunt. She is survived by siblings; William Rouse (Charlotte), Susan Wright (Garry) Jackie Thorpe (Erick), all of Lucama and Mary Hurt (David), of Cumming, Ga.; nieces and nephews; Lindsey, Garry, and Sidney Wright, Lee and Jacob Thorpe, Haley and Margaret Hurt, Allen Rouse and Karen Mills; great-nieces and nephews Ella, Benjamin, Alex and Amelia Mills, Eden and Eliza Skinner, Walker Wright, Paisley, Eleanor and Welker Rouse, and Hudson Foster.
