Sally Newcomb Pate

Sally Newcomb Pate September 3, 1936 – January 16, 2015 Sally Newcomb Pate, 78, of Lucama passed away Friday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Tommy Newcomb will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Sally is survived by her daughter, Pat Woodall and husband, Jeff of Dudley; her son, Troy Pate and Amanda of Lucama; granddaughters, Catina Outlaw and husband, Linwood of Goldsboro and Auleana Barnes of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Carter, and Wallace Outlaw and Drew and Preston Barnes; her sister, Lois Barnes and her brother, Henry Newcomb of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon C. Pate; her parents, Jesse and Sally Honeycutt Newcomb; her sisters, Pauline Newcomb Parnell and Lillie Pearl Draper and her brothers, Linwood Allen Newcomb, Sr., Milton Ray Newcomb, Robert Jessie Newcomb and William Thomas Newcomb.
