Sammie King

Sammie King April 13, 1944 – December 11, 2019 Sammie King, 75, of Wilson passed away Wednesday. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Pastor William Presnell and Ralph Dawson Webb will officiate. The family will greet friends briefly following service. She had a long rewarding career of over forty-four years at Wilson Hospital serving as a respiratory therapist. Sammie is survived by her husband, Donald King of Wilson; step-daughter, Donna Eason and husband, Neal of Trinity; step-sons, Terry King and wife, Melinda of Clayton and Craig King of Iowa; sisters, Amanda Carbonell and husband, Joaquin of Atlanta, Georgia and Frances Dineen of Wilson; niece, Maggie Harrington and husband, Jamie of Tucker, Georgia, six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mamie Johnson and a brother, Duncan Johnson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Sammie’s memory to Wilson County Humane Society, P.O.
