Sandra Faye Johnson Bunting May 5, 1946 – December 5, 2018 Sandra Faye Johnson Bunting, 72 of Elm City passed away Wednesday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City. Pastor Chris Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Sandra married David Lee Bunting on February 5, 1960 and together they had three children. She was a major part of Bunting Farms. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, David L. Bunting of the home; daughter, Melinda B. Bottoms of Wilson and Paul; sons, David “Lee” Bunting, Jr. and wife, Terry and Michael “Mike” Bunting and wife, Sherri both of Elm City; five grandchildren, Spencer and Brenten Bottoms and Tyler, Haley and Casey Bunting; one great-grandchild; sister, Janice J. Summerlin; sister-in-law, Lois P. Johnson and her beloved dog, Weston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mattie Whitehead Johnson and her brother, Leon “Squeaky” Johnson.
