Selby "Buck" Craig Joyner

Selby Craig Joyner September 6, 1942 – October 23, 2018 Selby Craig “Buck”, 76 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. His funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Carroll Bradbury and Rev. Tony Parrish will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. “Buck” was a member of Owens Chapel Church of Elm City and a graduate of Fike High School. He served his country with the National Guard. After forty-two years of dedicated service he retired from American Tire Distributors. “Buck” was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. “Buck” is survived by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Dolores Corbett Joyner of the home; daughters, Melinda Williford and husband, Allen of Wilson and Angie Council and husband, Jamie of Wilson; granddaughter, Jama Flanagan and husband, Jake of Farmville; great-grandchildren, Jase and Jessa Flanagan; sisters, May Gardner and Pat Gardner both of Elm City and Janice Pridgen of Raleigh; special niece, Erika of Wilson and his special grand dog, Bandit. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Medie and Maybelle Vick Joyner; sister, Romaine Joyner and his brothers, Durwood Joyner and Bursie Joyner.
