Selby Franklin Pridgen

Selby “Frankie” Franklin Pridgen, 78 of Wilson passed away Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Eureka Town Cemetery, Eureka. Rev. Gregory Mark Sauls will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10 – 10:45 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Frankie graduated from Fike High School and was a tobacco buyer for AC Monk Tobacco and Alliance for over twenty years and he worked with Woodmen of the World. Frankie was an avid golfer, and you could find him on the golf course every workday. He had a big heart and loved his family. Frankie was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and thought of often with memories that will always bring a smile to your face.

Frankie is survived by his wife, Sandra Sauls Pridgen; daughter, Lisa Pridgen Collier of Wilson; son, Paul Franklin Pridgen and wife, Regina of Wilson; grandchildren, Katie Bunn, Zachary Bunn, Jade Burdick and husband, Chris, and Jessi Pridgen; great-grandchildren, Graham and Sloan Burdick; sister, Jo Ann Pridgen Hinnant of Wilson; brother, Kenneth Lee Pridgen and wife, Betty of Virginia, and his fur baby, Chanel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lena Holley Pridgen; brother, Paul Edward Pridgen, and his fur babies, Hank and Coco.
