Shelby Ann Amerson Jones

Shelby Ann Amerson Jones, 81, of Walstonburg, passed away Thursday. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022, in Edwin Owens Cemetery, Saratoga. Rev. Michael Woolard and Rev. David Turner will officiate.

Shelby is survived by her daughter, Rose Jones Thomas and husband, Ronnie of Stantonsburg; granddaughter, Ashley Jones and husband, Chris; grandson, Darrell Jones and wife, Britni; great grandchildren, Austin Jones, Trent Jones, Logan Jones, Easton Jones and Dallas Jones; sisters, Marlene Bass of Virginia, Barbara Eatmon of Ahoskie and Nancy Carey of Georgia; brother, Bennie Thomas Amerson of Fountain and sister-in-law, Mildred Joyce Jones of the home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luby and Madeline Amerson; husband, Bobby Ray Jones and daughter, Melody Hope Jones.
