Shelby Bissette McKeel

Shelby Bissette McKeel, 87 of Bailey, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. Rev. Chris Hall will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday after the service at Bailey Town Cemetery, and other times at the home of her son, Ricky.

Shelby is survived by her daughter, Pam Taylor and Bert of Wilson; son, Ricky McKeel and wife, Jill of Middlesex; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters, Brenda Mayo of Tennessee, Wanda Hinnant and husband, Scotty of Middlesex, and Betty Nichols and husband, Donnie of Wilson, and brother-in-law, Bobby Ruffin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell McKeel; sister, Peggy Ruffin, and her brothers, Peter Bissette and Phil Bissette.
