Shirley Lamm Raper

Shirley Lamm Raper, 96, of Lucama passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Dr. Rev. DeWayne Eakes and Rev. Kelly Lamm will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, March 26, 2025, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Gloria Raper Lucas and husband, Jeff of Kenly; daughter-n-law, Bobbi Ann Raper of Wilson; grandsons, Robert Lucas and wife, Tammy, Billy Joe Lucas and wife, Tasha, Randy Lucas, Spencer Manning and wife, Amanda, and Bobby Manning and wife, Lori; granddaughter, Nickie Warrick and husband, Jay; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Lamm and wife, Jane of Rocky Mount, and sister, Hazel Jackson, of St. Augustine, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Carlton Raper; son, Doug Raper; parents, Allison and Minnie Lamm; brother, Walter Lamm, and her sisters, Marjorie Pittman and Elizabeth Pittman.
