Shirley Ruffin Ricks February 10, 1948 – August 29, 2021 Shirley Ruffin Ricks, 73 of Scotland Neck passed away Sunday. Her funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Pastor Joe Shakour will officiate. During the service and visitation, the family request friends to wear face covering. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1815 Airport Boulevard NW, Wilson. Shirley is survived by her sons, Thomas Ricks and wife, Marcy, and Joseph Ricks and wife, Leslie; granddaughters, Maria Ricks, Anastasia Ricks, Kayla Champion and husband, James, and Brittany D’Andrea; grandsons, Thomas Ricks, Jr. and wife, Noraya, William Ricks, David Ricks, John Paul Ricks, Becket Ricks, Teague Ricks, Elijah Ricks, Lucian Ricks, and Austin Ricks; great-grandson, Hunter Lee Fielding; her companion, Melvin Page, and her sisters, Maureen Craig, and Teresa Ruffin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend David T.
