Her legacy can never be fully expressed but her love, passion and giving heart will always be in the memory of all who knew her. She was a mother to all. Through her life she knew no stranger. Although she will be missed, we all take comfort in knowing she is in Heaven walking the streets of Gold. Sidney worked many jobs to support her family including Sampson’s Manufacturing, the Burger Boy Restaurant, and the Starlite Drive-In Theater. If ever an angel walked this earth, surly she was one of them. Special thanks go out to 3HC Hospice Care and all the support staff and friends who showed comparison and support. Sidney was a member of Unity Free Will Baptist Church.
Sidney is survived by her daughter, Betty Stancil Brown of Wilson; son, Edward Stancil (Mary Jo) of Wilson; granddaughter, Pam S. Martin (Dennis) of Raleigh; grandsons, Richard Stancil of Wilson and Michael Brown (Robin) of Wilson; great-granddaughters, Rachel Brown, Meredith Brown and Maura Stancil all of Wilson and her sister, Eunice Russell of Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Stancil; parents, Neal and Ida Bone Perry and her sister, Ruby Ballance.
Because of her love for children please consider memorials in Sidney’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105 or 3HC Hospice, 2400 Montgomery Drive SW, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
