Stanley Ray Hobson, 68, of Sharpsburg  passed away Monday.  A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville.  The Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. Stanley served his country faithfully and honorably with the U.S. Air Force. Stanley is survived by his wife, Glenda Joyner Hobson of the home; his daughter, Karen Walston and husband, Michael;  his son, Chris Hobson and wife, Tracie Baker; his grandchildren, Bailee Hobson, Nicole Walston and Anthony Walston; his sisters, Argie Land and husband, Johnny; Janice Joyner and husband, Ronnie, and Dale Parker and husband, Durwood  and his brother, Johnny Hobson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Evelyn Raper Hobson and his sister, Carol Carpenter.
