Susie Bass Barnes

Susie Bass Barnes, 91, of Wilson passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.

Susie is survived by her daughters, Hope Smith and husband, David and Amy Karcher and husband, Frank; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Ronnie Bass and wife, Peggy and Roland Bass.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Vance Barnes, Jr.; parents, Dorise and Selma Bass; sisters, Pearl Saunders, and Helen Edwards, and her brothers, Bill Bass, Derl Bass, Wilton Bass, Milton Bass, and Clay Bass.

Susie was very involved with the Salvation Army, to honor Susie please make donations to your local Salvation Army, or a donation to Dementia Alliance of North Carolina, 9131 Anson Way, Suite 2065, Raleigh, North Carolina 27615 in lieu flowers.
