Susie Bolt Dewald

Susie Bolt Dewald, 71, of Wilson passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, with the family receiving friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Ralph Webb will officiate.

 Susie’s life was filled with beauty, fun, love, and adventure. She had as amazing singing voice, loved to dance, grew gorgeous flowers, taught herself to play harmonica, learned to scuba dive, traveled near and far, and would prepare extravagant meals for holidays and special occasions. Susie truly shined when she was riding and showing her beloved horses, a childhood dream come true. Of all this, nothing gave her more joy than being “MiMi” to her adoring grandchildren. The memories she made with them will endure forever.

 Susie is survived by her son, Cary Bolt and wife, Meghan; daughter, Melissa Parbst; granddaughters, Alissa Parbst, Emma Bolt, and Lillian Parbst; grandsons, Easton Bolt and Luke Bolt; great-granddaughter, Gracelynn; sister, Carolyn Daniel, and her sister-in-law, Ann Braswell.
