Sybil Williamson Glover, 88, of Wilson departed this life peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Parkwood Village. Sybil was a lifelong resident of Wilson.
She worked for many years in banking and then as a realtor. She was a member of Westmoreland Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Sybil was born June 6, 1936, in Wilson to the late Thomas C. “Dick” Williamson, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth “Maggie” Batts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Jasper “CJ” Glover Jr.; sisters Shirley Delores Williamson and Lille Gray “PeeWee” Williamson; and nephew, Tommy Riddle.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Ann Williamson Kittrell of Wilson; brother, Thomas C. “Dickie” Williamson, Jr (Shirley) of Bath; nieces: Wendy Williamson Banks (Dee) of Clayton, Pamela Hicks Greer (Tommy) of Apex, Rachel Carolyn Paschall Arrington of Hendersonville, and Deborah Peel Spidle (James) of Chapel Hill; nephews: Edward H. Paschall III (Jane) of Parker, AZ, Paul F. Narron Jr. of Florence, SC, and Brian T. Williamson of PA; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved cats: Trouble, Gracie, April, Princess, and Precious.
Sybil will also be greatly missed by dear friends Edna Evans and family, Becky Evans and family, Trudy Godwin Morris and family, Ray Meeks and others at Westmoreland church, and her Bojangles breakfast buddies Norwood Ivey, Mickey Driver, Billy Vick, Wayne Turner, and Ronnie Skinner.
The family expresses its sincere appreciation to Hospice of Wilson for their tireless care and compassion over the last two months.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway West, Wilson, NC 27896, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
