  Thelma Boykin Ellen, 82, of Wilson passed away Thursday.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Winstead United Methodist Church, 1407 Tarboro Street, Wilson, NC.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.  The Rev. Paul Dunham and Rev. David Haley will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at her home. Thelma was a loving and caring lady that will be missed and thought of often with smiles and heartfelt joy.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all that knew her.  Thelma was the co-owner and operator of Ellen’s Electrical Service, with her late husband, Opie and served as the church secretary for Winstead United Methodist for over 27 years. Thelma is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Ellen of Annadale, VA and Belinda Ellen Dickens and husband, Dennis of Tyner; her granddaughters, Nicole Woodley and husband, Lee of Creswell and Sandy Hollowell and husband, Ryan of Tyner; her great-granddaughter, Leah Woodley of Creswell; her great-grandson, Jackson Woodley of Creswell; her sisters, Hilda Watkins of Raleigh and Dot Beaman of Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Opie Gray Ellen; six sisters and three brothers. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Winstead United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 1407 Tarboro Street, Wilson, NC  27893 or to WilMed Hospice, 1705 Tarboro Street S., Wilson, NC  27893.
