Thomas "Ted" Elmer Deans, Jr.

Thomas Elmer Deans, Jr. December 26, 1949 – July 6, 2018 Thomas Elmer “Ted” Deans, Jr., 68, of Bailey passed away Friday. His funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Nobles Chapel Baptist Church, 7330 Old Raleigh Road, Sims. Interment will follow in Nobles Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Sims. The Revs. Brittany and Chase Caldwell will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Ted was a retiree of NC State DOT having worked in Wilson, Raleigh and Bunn. He was a volunteer fireman for Bailey and had retired after serving over thirty years. Ted was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and he will be dearly missed and thought of often. Ted is survived by his wife, Angela Vick Deans of the home; his daughter, Courtney Deans Adkins and husband, Brian of Bailey; son, Thomas Elmer Deans, III and wife, Christine of Wilson, and his grandchildren, Wesley Thomas Deans, Melody Grace Deans, Colten Allen Adkins, and Bristol Leigh Adkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas “Elmer” Deans and Nancy Cleo Boykin Deans.
