Tim Daniel

Tim Daniel July 26, 1949 – November 4, 2019 Tim Daniel, 70 of Black Creek passed away Monday. His funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Daniels Chapel FWB Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Road, Wilson. Interment will follow in Black Creek Town Cemetery, Black Creek. Rev. Walt Tyndall, Rev. Randy Jenkins and Rev. Bill Groce will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 -8 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Reece and Sheila Daniel, 7057 Penwright Road, Fremont, North Carolina. Tim was a lifelong member of Daniels Chapel FWB church of Wilson but attended Grace Community Church in Black Creek. He enjoyed fishing, writing, studying The Bible, being outdoors, woodworking, playing the piano, and taking morning walks with their pet dogs, Spike and Sadie. He had a passion for firearms – collecting and shooting. Tim also loved people. He knew no stranger and loved to talk to whoever cared to pass the time with sharing some conversation. Tim loved to share his faith and love of Jesus Christ and wanted nothing more than to share the Good News of Christ with all. He also loved to share his humor. Without regard for the situation-usually the most embarrassing possible-he loved to pull a practical joke with almost no limits to the antics used to create laughter for his friends, family, and complete strangers. Tim was the master of storytelling and often created tall tales to entertain his beloved grandchildren. The love of his life was spending time with his family, whether it was catching a bite to eat with his wife at a local eatery or spending time with children and grandchildren playing at the pond, affectionately nicknamed “Lake Daniel.” He simply loved his family. Tim is survived by his loving wife, Donna Rechkemner Daniel; daughter, Julie Daniel-Yount and husband, Bradley; son, Reece Timothy Daniel and wife, Sheila; step-daughters, April Butcher and husband, Scott and Susan VandeVoorde and husband, Michael; step-sons, Todd Bailey and wife, Angie and Kent Bailey and wife, Shelley; grandchildren, Dylin T. Daniel, Collin T. Daniel, Nathan T. Daniel, Ann-Katherine R. Daniel, Edith M. Yount, and Chloe R. Yount; step-grandchildren, Somer Bailey, Hunter Bailey and Rick Watson; brother, Ted Daniel; his nieces, Paula Daniel and Krystal Daniel and his uncle, Buster Short. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin E. and Edith Short Daniel and his brother, Marvin A. “Tony” Daniel.
