Tommy Alfonzo Narron
March 18, 1931 – May 1, 2019
Tommy Alfonzo Narron, 88, of Kenly passed away Wednesday. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. followed by a service at 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson with Rev. Clark Vincent officiating.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Narron Family Cemetery, 13828 Hwy 42 E, Kenly.
Tommy was a graduate of North Carolina State University and a retired Agriculture teacher from Johnston County public schools. He served for four years with the U.S. Air Force and was a longtime member of the American Legion. Tommy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that knew him. He will be deeply missed and thought of often.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Jackie B. Narron of the home; children, Lynn N. Sanders and late husband, Wendell, Donnell Narron, Pat Narron and husband, Jerome all of Kenly; step-children, Michael, David and wife, Angie and Cindy and husband, Tony; grandchildren, Becky, Jeffrey, Casey, Samantha, Jill, Jeremy, Jessica, Kyle and Kelly; four step-grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Levi and Trevor and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye F. Narron; son, Charles “Speedie” E. Narron; parents, Newsome and Lomia Johnson Narron and his siblings, Wiley, Talmadge, Jarley, Donnell, Homer, Stetson, Erma, Verla, Louise and Lola.
