Toni Darden Flowers, 78, of Wilson passed away Tuesday.  Her memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.   Toni was born in Tallahassee and grew up in Fayetteville.  She graduated from Atlantic Christian College and was a retired school teacher with Elm City High School for twenty years and the Wilson Post Office.  Toni loved the beach and all animals.   She is survived by her husband, James Alton Flowers of the home; her sons, David Flowers of Wilson and John Flowers and wife, Karen of Hampstead and her granddaughters, Zoe Flowers and Kate Flowers both of Hampstead.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wilson County Humane Society, PO Box 7064, Wilson, NC  27895.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
