Tony McCoy Owens

Tony McCoy Owens, 81 of Stantonsburg passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024.   A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 with the family receiving friends immediately following at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  Rev. Randy Ennis and Rev. Dr. Woody Davis will officiate.

Tony has been a member of Evansdale United Methodist Church since 1978, where he held the position of Lay Leader.  He was also a member of the church choir and the United Methodist Men. Tony was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who knew him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Judith Tyndall Owens; daughters, Kimbery Best of Wilson, and Traci Kirkpatric of Highland, Texas; son, Jason M. Owens of Dallas, Georgia; step-son, Greg Brown of Zebulon; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, and his sister, Connie High of Wilson.
