Vertie Mae Williamson, 82, of Sims passed away Thursday.  Her funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  The Rev. Richard Cuddington and the Rev. Billy Toler will officiate.   The family will receive friends 7 – 9 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.   Vertie is survived by her son, Jim Williamson and wife, Laurie of Sims; her granddaughter, Hannah Williamson of Sims; her grandson, Jacob Williamson of Sims and her sister, Ramona Powell and husband, Ivey of Rocky Mount.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Williamson; her sister, Marigold Chandler and her brother, Claude Junior Powell.   Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
