Vickie Shealy

Vickie Shealy, 79 of Wilson passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Danny Harris will officiate.

 The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

 Vickie is survived by her daughters, Beth Shealy Parker and husband, Chris and Brenda Shealy Jones and husband, Dwayne; son, Robert “Bobby” Jerome Shealy and wife, Kate; grandchildren, Joshua Jones and wife, Kerri, Megan Taylor and husband, Robby, Victoria “Tori” Jones, Andrea “Andie” Shealy, Madison Parker, Richard “RJ” Shealy, and Noah Parker; great-grandchildren, Ellis Taylor and Canton Jones; sister, Kathy Keyser, and her step-sisters, Dorothy Nelson and Patricia Jones. She was known as “Mama Vickie” to many individuals outside of her family that she loved as her own.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Jay Shealy; parents, Mary and Mack Cayton; granddaughter, Bailey Parker, and her step-father, Forrest Mizelle.

 The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all the care, compassion, support and love shown to Vickie and her family.
