Vollis Simpson, 94, of Lucama passed away Friday.-Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner-s Funeral Home.-Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.-The Rev. Dr. Sefton Strickland and the Rev. Jerry Andrews will officiate.

The family will receive friends 6 - 9 p.m. Monday at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Vollis is survived by his wife, Jean Barnes Simpson of the home; his daughter, Carol S. Kyles and husband, Jay of Lucama; his sons, Leonard Barnes Simpson and wife, Pam of Summerfield and Vollis Michael Simpson and wife, Brenda of Lucama; his grandchildren, Allison Dunn, Valerie Dunn, Jamison Kyles and Cassidy Kyles and his sister, Eleanor Watson of Lucama.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanie Simpson and his parents, William Oscar Simpson and Emma Watson Simpson.
