Walter Edward Watson
May 23, 1939 – October 6, 2020
Walter Edward Watson, 81 of Wilson passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Westmoreland PH Church, 3102 Tilghman Road, Wilson.
Walt served his country with honor and pride and was a tough Marine and yet a kind gentle man with an infections personality. Walt fought a hard battle, but he has now gone to meet his Lord and Savior. During every hospital stay he just wanted to get home to his little dog, Dakota. He loved to work, he owned an electrical business in Florida and Professional Diagnostic Services in Wilson and working in his yard was a great pleasure for him. Walt loved his family with all his heart, and he will be greatly missed and thought of often with wonderful memories.
Walter is survived by his wife, Rebecca Watson of the home; daughter, Tammy Harris of California; sons, Todd Watson, and Bobby Watson both of Florida; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindi Lleras; son, Michael Watson; parents, Armed Watson and Ethel Biederman and his brother, Ted Watson.
The family sends special thanks to Dr. Thomas Hooper for his care and friendship along with his staff and to Community Home Care and Hospice, Michelle, Carrie, Mandy, and Kim they were pure angels.
Condolences directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home and Crematory at www.joyners.net.
