Wanda “Kaye” Barnes October 6, 1952 – October 4, 2021 Wanda “Kaye” Barnes, 68 of Fremont passed away Monday. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Pastor Greg Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home and other times at the home. Kaye is survived by her loving husband, Billy Barnes of Fremont; daughter, Tonya Smith and husband, Kevin of Fremont; granddaughter, Makayla Smith; grandsons, Byron Smith, and Austin Smith; sister, Mary Ellen Reason of Fremont and BooBoo Barnes, her fur baby and the apple of her eye. She was preceded in death by her father, James Edward Speight, and her mother, Mary Eloise Lewis, and step-father, Gene Lewis, and her brother, Kirk Lewis.
