Wayne Robert Hancock

Wayne Robert Hancock March 10, 1983 – June 21, 2017 Wayne “Wayne’rz” Robert Hancock, 34, of Bailey passed away Wednesday. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 – 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Wayne’rz attended Camp Lejeune Special Needs School System. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and a friend to all that he knew. Wayne’rz was loved by all and will be greatly missed and thought of often with smiles that will warm the heart. Wayne’rz is survived by his father, William Duke Hancock, II of Bailey; his brother, William Duke Hancock, III of Knightdale; his nephews, Toby Hancock, and Alex Hancock both of Knightdale; paternal grandmother, Joyce Hancock of Cave City, Arkansas; maternal grandfather, Robert Burdick of Charles Town, West Virginia; his aunts, Ruth Annette Bramlett of Mebane, and Marcy Crawford of New York; his uncles, Robert Neal, Jr. of Richland, Buster Burdick and Brynn Burdick both of New York, and his mother, Rhonda Burdick of Richland. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Ann Burdick; grandfather, William Duke Hancock, and his aunt, Robyn Burdick. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Joyner’s Funeral Home, PO Box 425, Wilson, North Carolina 27894 to help cover the end of life expenses.
