Wesley Edward Winstead, 78, of Bailey passed away Tuesday.  A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at New Sandy Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 8021 New Sandy Hill Church Road, Bailey.  Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery.  The Rev. Anderson Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Friday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at home. Wesley was a member of New Sandy Hill Free Will Baptist Church.  He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him.  He will be thought of often and missed by all that loved him. Wesley is survived by his son, Terry Alan Winstead and wife, Linda of Wilson; his granddaughter, Lindsey Winstead of Wilson; his sister, La Rue Price of Garner and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Denton Winstead; his parents, Daniel Edward and Cramer Finch Winstead; his sisters, Roberta W. Callaway and Jackie Latham; and his brother, C.D.
