Wilbert Hayes Johnson June 7, 1945 – May 14, 2019 Wilbert Hayes Johnson, 73, of Kenly passed away Tuesday.  His funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Moore’s Chapel, 12424 NC Hwy 42 E, Kenly.  Interment will follow in Moore’s Chapel Cemetery, Kenly.  The Rev. David West and Rev. Jerry Banks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Wilbert is survived by his sisters, Frances Eubanks of Sneads Ferry, Ruby Nell Parrish of Clayton, Lois Barbour of Clayton, Eunice Beasley of Clayton, Betty Jewel Godwin of Kenly and Sarah Fuquay of Kenly; brothers, John Harold Johnson of Selma, Thelbert Johnson of Clayton, Everette Johnson of Kenly, Robert Johnson of Raleigh and Raymond Johnson of Smithfield; several in-laws, nieces and nephews and his group home family, Barbara and Joe Doyle and Rigney Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Ernest and Irene Johnson; sister, Lucille Johnson Thomas and his brothers, James, Julian, Ernest Junior and Joseph Randall Johnson.
