William Lawrence Bissette
July 19, 1929 – December 11, 2015
William Lawrence Bissette, 86, of Bailey passed away Friday. His funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The Rev. Charles Robl and the Rev. Kevin Seymour will officiate.
The family will be receiving friends at the home.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Margaret Eloise Bissette of the home; his sons, Larry Bissette and wife, Joyce of Durham, and Mark Bissette and wife, Cindy of Greensboro; his grandson, William Warren Bissette and wife, Myranda of Wilson; great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Bissette of Wilson; his sisters, Janie Joyner of Spring Hope and Trudy Matthews of Wilmington, and brothers, Ed Bissette, and Elton Bissette both of Spring Hope.
Lawrence lived his life to the fullest, enjoying everything he could experience outside. He included his family while farming, hunting, and fishing. Lawrence spent his life farming and as a tobacconist, where he impacted many with his honest and friendly character.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Dew Bissette and Mary Jane Morgan Bissette.
