William Joseph Boswell

William Joseph Boswell August 12, 1934 – August 1, 2017   William Joseph “Bill” Boswell, 82, passed away Tuesday. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Walt Tyndall will officiate.   Bill at different times in his life was a soldier, a farmer, a literary critic, a photographer and a book seller but mostly he was a gentle soul who loved his family and everything about God’s creation.   Bill is survived by his step-daughters, Cathy Riddle of Oak Island and Valerie Szalay and husband, Andy of Richmond; granddaughter, Caitlin Szalay and grandson, Troy Szalay; nieces, Sherry Hall, Martha Tippett and Lea George; nephews, Michael Boswell, Al Eatman, David Eatman and Andy Boswell.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Webb Boswell, and his parents, Caswell Anderson and Lucille Baynes Boswell.   Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to Milbournie FWB Church, 5106 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina, 27896.   Condolences may be directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home at www.joyners.net.
