William "Doug" Douglas Finch

William Douglas Finch May 6, 1931 – October 20, 2018 William Douglas “Doug” Finch, 87, of Wilson passed away Saturday. His funeral services will be conducted Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 1815 Airport Boulevard W, Wilson with the family receiving friends immediately following the service. Pastor Joe Shakour and Doug’s brother, Jerry Finch will officiate. Doug is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Peggy Finch of the home; his sons, Dennis Finch and wife, Teresa of Wilson and Mitch Finch and wife, Vicki of Virginia; granddaughters, Michelle Joyner and husband, Alan of Wilson, Beverly Efird and husband, Matt of Wilson and Leigh Finch of Cary; grandson, Justin Carver of Clayton; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Katherine, Camden and Madi Grace; sisters, Laura Hill, Jean Webb and Dianne Amerson and husband, Bobby and his brothers, Bobby Finch, Kenneth Finch and wife, Dianne and Jerry Finch and wife, Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Van Henry and Alma Owens Finch and his brothers, Bud Finch, Jack Finch, Dock Finch and Charlie Finch.
