William Lawrence Ellis

William Lawrence Ellis April 25, 1933 – February 27, 2017 William Lawrence “Bill” Ellis, 83, of Wilson passed away Monday. His funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Road, Wilson.  Entombent will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Ray Barnhill and Rev. Justin Deeter will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Bill is survived by his wife, Tracy Bunting Ellis of the home; his daughter, Vickie Whitfield of Wilson; his son, Lawrence Ellis of Wilson; his grandchildren, William Whitfield, Madison Whitfield, Marty Ellis, Lawson Ellis, Will Ellis, and Natalie Ellis; sisters, Jenny Lucas of Wilson, and Peggy Jenkins of Indiana, and his brother, Eddie Ellis of Wilson. He was preceded in death by his son, Martin Keith “Marty” Ellis; his first wife, Lorraine Ellis; parents, Eddie and Virginia Ellis; his sister, Louise Proctor and brother, Rufus Ellis.
