William Nicholas Glover

William Nicholas Glover May 18, 1946 – May 16, 2015 William Nicholas “Nicky” Glover, 68, of Bailey passed away early Saturday morning on May 16, 2015. Nicky was born on May 18, 1946 in Wilson County. He served two years in the United States Army before being honorably discharged and then joined the Raleigh Fire Department. Nicky retired in 1996 as a District Chief after twenty-nine years of service. Nicky is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Bonnie Glover of the home; his sons, Steve Glover and wife, Tammy of Bailey and Todd Glover and wife, Renee of Raleigh; his granddaughter, Megan Glover of Raleigh; his grandson, Travis Etheridge of Wilson; his sisters, Barbara Bissette and husband, Kenneth “Gator” of Bailey and Brenda Baker and husband, Larry of Reidsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Bettie Glover. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery, Bailey. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
