William Ernest Harrell

William Ernest Harrell December 22, 1935 – December 7, 2015 William Ernest Harrell, 79, of Elm City passed away Monday. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Johnny Hudson and Rev. Jay Summerlin will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home. William is survived by his son, Ernest Alexander Harrell and wife, Dee of Bailey; his daughters, Nellie Ann Harrell Mansfield of Elm City, Marjorie Lou Harrell Summerlin and husband, Jay of Wilson; grandchildren, Alexander Harrell, Kristan Vierheller, Shannon Goff, Dawn Whitehead, Heather Alford, Jeremy Mansfield, Ryan Summerlin, Megan Summerlin, and William Summerlin; great-grandchildren, Dillon Davenport, Ericka Woolwine, Ethan Alford, Kaytlyn Long, Blake Alford, Alden Whitehead, and Evan Whitehead. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Mae Harrell, his parents, Jonas Ernest and Nancy Ann Harrell; his brothers, Jonas Harrell and Gordon Harrell; his sisters, Mary Alice Harrell, and Lucy Mae Harrell, and grandson, David Jason Goff; Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the New Beginning Free Will Baptist Church, 5607 Gardners School Road, Elm City, North Carolina 27822.
