William Durand Mayo

William Durand Mayo July 19, 1951 – April 16, 2016 William “Red” Mayo, 64, of Lucama passed away Saturday. His funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Lonnie Humphreys will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Red is survived by his children, Michael Mayo, Gary Mayo, Sara Lillard, William Mayo, Cynthia Mayo, Dennis Mayo, and Teresa Mayo; twenty-five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sister, Brenda Lewin, and his brothers, Dennis Mayo and Danny Mayo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Lillie Mae Godwin Mayo, and his brother, Donnie Mayo. Condolences may be directed to www.joyners.net.
