William Virgil Tomblin
December 2, 1955 – December 22, 2013
William Virgil Tomblin, 58 of Selma passed away Sunday evening December 22, 2013 to be with his Lord and Savior. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Monday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The family will receive immediately following the service. The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate. William was born on December 2, 1955 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio to Elva Brown Tomblin and William J. Tomblin. William married Claudette Casto on December 29, 2005 almost eight years ago. William worked at FlowServe in Raleigh for 7 years as a machinist. Prior to moving to North Carolina he worked at Breechbuhler Scales and Hercules Engines both in Canton, Ohio and Morgantown Machine in New Philadelphia, Ohio. William was a kind and gentle soul who was positive and an upbeat person. He so much looked forward to the future, growing old with his wife, and doing some traveling. William loved his cars, working on and keeping them clean. Most of all was his loyalty to his mother by calling her faithfully every afternoon to speak with her. William is survived by his wife of 8 years, Claudette Casto Tomblin; his daughter, Ashley Sanatore (Bryce) of Ohio; his mother, Elva Brown Tomblin of Ohio; his granddaughters, Lexi Bietler and Bella Sanatore; his sister, Jeana Edie and husband, John of Ohio; his brother, Jami and his partner, Josh of Ohio; his favorite nephew, Tristen Tomblin and many more nieces and nephews.
