William Edward Weaver April 10, 1945 – November 19, 2017 William Edward “Billy” Weaver, 72, of Wilson passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The Rev. Steve Edmundson will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Billy was a loving husband, father, “papa”, brother and friend to all that knew him. He was the best fishing partner any grandchild could ask for with all of his fishing stories. Billy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Billy is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Ann Weaver of the home; his son, Eddie Weaver and wife, Beth of Wilson; his grandsons, Tyler Weaver and fiancé, Brittney Bunn, and Garrett Weaver; his sister, “Tootie” Phyllis Pennington of Emerald Isle, and his step-mother, Daphine Lucas of Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff Weaver and Ollie Mae Newcombe Hamm, and his sisters, Gray Johnson and Barbara Webb.
