Willie Bruce Barnes, 92, of Wilson passed away Tuesday.  The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday in Evergreen.  The Rev. Paul Dunham will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of Ann Hinson. Bruce is survived by his daughters, Ann B. Hinson and husband, Walter of Wilson and Janie B. Summerlin and husband, Steven of Wilson; his son, Larry B. Barnes and wife, Linda of Jacksonville, FL; his granddaughters, Kristi Collier and husband, Jeffrey of Wilson and Ashley Kight and husband, Brian of Wilson; his step-granddaughter, Dori Keen and husband, Russ of Jacksonville, FL; his step-grandson, Lee Hinson and wife, Lynn of Lumberton; his six great-grandchildren; his brother, Carl G. Barnes and wife, Lois of Wilson and his special friend, Lurae Brantley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Evans Barnes and his sister, Virginia B. Brantley.
