Willie Graham Braswell
October 19, 1930 – December 3, 2017
Willie Graham Braswell, 87, of Elm City passed away Sunday at his home. His funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City. The Rev. David Allen will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Graham was a member of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, and retired from Exxon after thirty-eight years of service. He was an avid collector of antiques and he also loved to fish. Graham served his country with honor and pride with the National Guard. Graham will be dearly missed and thought of often with loving memories.
Graham is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Geraldine Owens Braswell; his children, Laura Boone and husband, David, Randy Braswell and wife, Cindy, and Lisa Crow and husband, David; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Candace, Jonathan, Amanda, Zachary, Jacob, and Maggie; his great-grandchildren, Ella, Ian, Owen, Landon, Everett, and Iris, and his sisters, Evelyn Webb and Peggy Braswell.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Braswell; parents, John and Estelle Braswell; sister, Nancy Muckenfuss, and his brothers, Robert and Linwood Braswell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Graham’s honor may be directed to Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, 5018 Rosebud Church Road, Elm City, North Carolina 27822.
