Willie Junior Johnson August 7, 1932 – August 3, 2021 Willie Junior Johnson, 88 of Middlesex passed away Tuesday. His funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Middlesex Baptist Church, 11460 W Stewart Street, Middlesex. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex. The Rev. Sean Skaggs will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Willie is survived by his daughter, Patricia Lynn Webb and husband, Joe of Saratoga; sons, James Earl “Bucky” Johnson and wife, Jerri of Middlesex, and Donald Ray Johnson and friend, Ron of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Laura Barnhill and husband, John; grandsons, Brandon Webb, Tim Webb and wife, Meredith, Michael Johnson and wife, Carolina, and Matthew Johnson and wife, Emmy, Jeff Currie, Jeremy Currie, Jason Currie and wife, Alison; great-grandchildren, Evan Barnhill, Colby Barnhill, Tuck Webb, Willow Webb, Turner Webb, Shelby Webb, Samuel Currie, and Isaiah Currie, and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Creech Johnson, and his daughter, Judy Kay Johnson; sisters, Helon Hales, Angela Woodruff, and Doris Woodard, and his brother, Garland Johnson.
