Willie Albert Johnson

Willie “Bill” Albert Johnson, 72, of Lucama, formerly of Wilson, passed away Sunday. A funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Maplewood Cemetery. The Rev. John Graves will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. He was a hard worker as a metal fabricator. He loved pulling mini tractors and riding horses. Bill will be thought of often and will be greatly missed. Bill is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Marie Turner Johnson of the home; his sons, Richard Neil Johnson and wife, Carla of Pine Level and William Travis Johnson and wife, Janet of Saratoga; his grandsons, Brandon Johnson of Kenansville, Luke Johnson of Pine Level and Trey Johnson of Saratoga; his sister, Donna Thorne and husband, James of Black Creek; his brothers, Jimmy Ray Johnson of Rock Ridge and Carlton Gray Johnson and wife, Jackie of Wilson and his special sister-in-law, Linda Johnson of Wilson.
