Willis Bobby Cale
June 12, 1930 – October 15, 2019
Willis Bobby Cale, 89 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. His funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Pastor Joe Shakour will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 5 – 7 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Willis was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for fifty-eight years. He served in the US Army from 1951 – 1953 during the Korean War.
Willis is survived by his wife, Jean Cale of the home; daughter, Bobbie J. Mincey of Wilson; sons, Blake Cale and wife, Peggy of Wilson, Bruce Cale of Wilson and Mike Cale of Wilson; granddaughters, Amanda Cale Adams and husband, Will, Megan Cale Vargas and husband, Angel, Susan Cale and Sarah Cale; grandsons, John Mincey and wife, Jamie, and Blake Cale, Jr. and wife, Caroline; great-granddaughter, Maggie Mincey and great-grandsons, Andy Mincey and Samuel Vargas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Elizabeth Sharpe Cale; beloved granddaughter, Emily Michele Mincey and several sisters and brothers.
